RoboCop 2014

Be prepared to be Robo-fied by this movie’s tech. Hats off to the special effects and visual effects team on the amazing job they did! Did you know! : The movie takes place in Detroit but most scenes were shot in Dallas!

Robo cop was directed by José Padilla and released on February 12 2014. Starring: Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Abby Cornish, Michael Keaton, and Patrick Garrow. Based on the original 1987 Robocop movie, this movie takes place 2028 in the city of Detroit where Officer, Father and Husband, Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) is on a case to stop a major illegal weapons bust ran by a big gangster named Antoine Vallon (Patrick Garrow).  After almost killing Vallon, Alex Murphy is on Vallon’s hit list. His car had a bomb planted in it and as soon as he touched it, it blew up. With no option left Alex Murphy  has to work with Omnicorp a Multi- billion dollar weapons company trying to build half man, half robot. I can’t tell you the rest unless you want me to spoil it. J

The best character was Dr. Dennett Norton (Gary Oldman), the Doctor or Scientist who put together The Robo Cop. He did an amazing job as an actor. He was also very convincing. The roll they gave him was suitable and very well played. His dialogues and script was extremely well written and well said.

I’d give Robo Cop 8.5 out of 10. It was a great movie and I enjoyed it but the story line could be improved. But overall it is totally worth watching in theatres. I loved the technology in the movie as well as the new suit. That’s all for today and “I’ll Be Back” with more movie critiques. by Swaraj Prasad

Thor 2

REVIEW BY Swaraj Prasad

Get Ready For Some Asgard  Style Butt Kicking. If you’re interested in a guy raging and smashing his hammer then this is the movie for you !  By the way, did you know that Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth are brothers !

Thor 2 was directed by Alan Taylor and was released On Nov 8 2013.  Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston. Based on the Marvel comic series of Thor who, is a god from a realm called Asgard. In this movie Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his evil brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), embark on journey together to save Thor’s mortal girl friend Jane Foster from an evil power of Malkeith (Christopher Eccleston).

Basically what happens is that Jane is infected with an ancient power called the “Aether”.  When Thor finds out he’s flabbergasted, he takes Jane to Asgard and introduces her to his family, while Malkeith traces the energy to Jane. He attacks Asgard and kill Thor’s mother. Thor then uses Jane to lure in Malkeith and the rest is for you to find out.

The most intriguing character was Loki. He acted very well.  His dialogues were well written and said. His mysterious actions really made me go nuts, but when solved were exciting. And, the most intriguing one was at the end. The key moment was when Loki did something and that and something you will find out when you watch the movie.

So if I were to rate this movie out of 10 Id give it a 7.5. I got confused a few times, and it just didn’t seem like a movie I would watch in theatres. I would watch this at home just to continue its ongoing series.
